Our experts give you things you need to know before you visit in our Miller Park Zoo Mom Tips!
- Parking – Free to park at this zoo! The parking lot is small, but you shouldn’t have any trouble finding a place to park.
- Strollers – Let the kids get their energy out! This zoo is small enough and doesn’t have rough terrain, so leave the stroller at home! Let your toddlers walk alongside you as you navigate the zoo as it’s not very far from front to back. If you have an infant, you’ll be able to navigate just fine with a baby carrier.
- Bathrooms – You’ll want to take the kids to the bathroom immediately upon entering the zoo. The bathrooms are in the admission building. There are also bathrooms in the other houses in the zoo, one at both ends.
- Activities – Check the daily feeding schedule. When we were there, we watched the keepers feed the otters, as well as the big cats and langurs. You’ll want to check these out, and there’s also an opportunity for you to feed the birds, but you have to buy your tickets at the front. Click here to see the daily feeding schedule.
- Playground/Splash Pad – Bring the kids’ suits and a change of clothes! There is a splash pad and playground right outside the zoo. There are also bathrooms nearby for changing.
- Food – This is a great zoo for a picnic, because they don’t really sell food here! You can bring food into the zoo, or there is a big park and splash pad right outside the zoo!
