The Chattanooga is small, but offers some nice exhibits. I do think it might be a bit overshadowed by the Aquarium in downtown Chattanooga, but it’s still worth a visit, and offers a few hands-on opportunities.
Highlights:
- Desert House – the houses were probably the highlight here, as they included a sloth that you could view from all angles, the playfull fenec fox, and lots of other animals.
- Primates – the chimps and spider monkeys provide entertainment and give the zoo a bigger animal attraction to separate it from really small zoos.
- Rides – because it’s a smaller zoo, having pony rides and camel rides is a great way to keep the kids involved.
Lows:
- Habitats – none of the big cat habitats had much terrain change to them, and didn’t seem big enough for the animals.
